Job Overview As a Business Development Manager for our Extended Warranty division, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and revenue streams. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth in the extended warranty sector. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the extended warranty market and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience Minimum 5 Years
  • Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and market trends in the extended warranty industry.

Analyze competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to develop competitive advantages.

  • Business Strategy Development:

Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Business Development to create a comprehensive business development strategy for the extended warranty business segment.

Develop short-term and long-term sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:

Identify and target potential clients, partners, and distributors in the extended warranty sector.

Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.

  • Relationship Building:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential clients, manufacturers, and industry associations.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing information about the benefits and value of our extended warranty solutions.

  • Proposal and Presentation:

Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to the needs and preferences of prospective clients.

Present the benefits of our extended warranty products and services, addressing client pain points and objections effectively.

  • Negotiation and Contract Closure:

Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract closures to secure profitable agreements.

Ensure that contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.

Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.

  • Collaborative Teamwork:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Skills
  • Strong knowledge of the extended warranty market, including industry trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
